Delete your account

You can remove your Tomiko account and your product data at any time — from inside the app, or by email if you can't get in. Here is exactly what happens, and what audit residue may take longer to clear.

From the app

Open Settings from the tab bar.
Go to Privacy, then tap Delete data.
Confirm. Your account closes and removal begins right away — there is no separate waiting period or reactivation window.

What gets removed

Your account data in our product tables is erased — not anonymised, not archived:

  • Your sign-in identity (the Google or Apple account you logged in with).
  • Your bank connections, and the customer record held on your behalf at our licensed open-banking provider.
  • Every account, transaction, budget, tag, recurring item, coach note, and spending notice.
  • Every receipt file you uploaded, deleted from private storage.

When it happens

Removal is immediate. A few automated, security-related logs are kept briefly and then scrubbed, as the law allows for fraud prevention and audit:

Immediately
Your account, financial data, and bank links are deleted; your customer record at our open-banking provider is closed.
Within 1 hour
An automated sweep confirms your account data was removed from our product tables, even if a step failed mid-way.
Within 24 hours
Receipt files are purged from storage.
Within 30 days
Most security and connection-audit logs (which never contain your transactions) are scrubbed. Categorization-related audit records may be retained beyond 30 days while we ship the final cleanup — we will close that gap and update this page when it lands.
